Mycelium Rising in Berlin
Let’s connect all the mushroom lovers in Berlin.
I was once told that Berlin is known as the Green Lung of Europe. With more forests and parks in and around Berlin, than any other European city, it’s no wonder there are so many people obsessed with mushrooms. We are surrounded by them.
I love meeting “mushroom people” and I find that we are all weirdos and that kind of person who just ‘gets it’. We are nature lovers and we understand how important and under valued the fungi queendom is.
We know what it’s like to run into a spider web and we know how to remove a tick. But, we don’t all know each other. The connector in me wants to help this situation.
I am planning a 1-2 day event (in October) with the purpose of connecting all the people in Berlin who share a love of mushrooms. This is in the conceptual phase… so if you want to participate, help organize, and/or be a part of it, PLEASE send me a message. I am still looking for a location as well.

PAST EVENTS
The Dream Sanctuary of Hyphae
The Dream Sanctuary of Hyphae was an overnight connection experience where art, ritual, and mycelial networks converge to awaken your connection to the hidden intelligence of nature and the inter-connectedness of life.
I contributed to the costumes, the connections, the graphic design for the archetypal fungi rituals and created videos from my collages with the help of AI.
‘PRIMORIDA 2’
at Mahalla’s Open Together
Berlin Art Week 2024
I was honored to represent the artists curated by Mycelionaire on the poster for Art Week. If you are overwhelmed by Berlin Art Week.. just go to Mahalla’s event. It hosts over 100 artists and multiple curators throughout the entire massive old industrial factory.
The first Primordial was curated by Julian of Mycelionaire and was displayed in the mushroom lab which normally grows reishi and lionsmane and hosts many mushroom workshops and events. The Mycelium Cave was installed in the basement next to the lab and remains there today. I also displayed some of my collage prints, masks and a new wood sculpture.
Underworld Mycelium
Brooklyn meets Berlin… this event was produced by two legends, Tiresias and Alexander Cameltoe. Tiresias – whose Underworld events are known for having experimental and queer sci-fi performances and cabaret. Alexander Cameltoe (the alter-ego of artist Zoe Lohmann) is Berlin’s most versatile drag king, genderfluid and species fluid performers. The show Included a full cast of incredible artists/performers such as: Hungry, Jon Darc, Reverso, 13, and Godxxx Noirphiles.
A Shhhroooms mask photobooth accompanied a full immersive mycelium light cave in the entrance of the historical Berlin Ballhaus. I even took the team on a mushroom walk after the show had ended. It was a real bonding moment.
Shhhroooms @ The Rad
I held my first solo art show under the Shhhroooms moniker at the end of 2022 at The Rad. A beloved natural wine bar that still to this day showcases two of my prints in the front window along with two custom lamp shades commissioned by the owner and my friend Arran, in the early days of the bar. It was was a successful show –I sold all of the prints!
I also released the first series of postcards that night, which have since been sold out. You can see the second series in the shop.
Shhhroooms @ Pilzfestspiele
It was a real honor to exhibit my work at the Pilzfestspiele in Vienna along side some of my all time favorite mushroom artists. I also got to meet Stephen Axford and Catherine Marciniak aka Planet Fungi, whom many of my mushroom images are photographed by. Their work is so inspiring. Getting to meet them and to experience what sweet humans they are was one of the highlights of my time at the festival.
The Museum of Mushrooms
This was a special opportunity. It was my first time presenting the concept of the Museum of Mushrooms publicly, in front of a very savvy crowd at the Venture Café Berlin. I am the curator and experience designer for the MoM and I have been working with a small team for almost a year to create something so incredibly special. We are currently in the fundraising phase. The MoM is a non-profit project planning to launching in 2028.
